He was predeceased by brothers Mike, Frank, Nick, Tony, John, Steve in fancy; and sisters Jenny Smood, Pauline Komarnicki, Mary Gabruch and Verna Boyenko.

Roman grew up on a farm in the Bruno area. He was a veteran of the Second World War. His working career included owning and operating a general store and being a fuel supplier for BA Oil and later Gulf Oil and Petro Canada in the Fulda area. In 1973 he and Anne moved to Saskatoon, where he continued working for Petro Canada until his retirement.

Roman was very fond of music. He was able to play the accordion, guitar and violin and enjoyed having jam sessions with others. In his later years playing his musical instruments became a favorite hobby. He was a very sociable person, a great host in his home, and always happy to go out for coffee with family or friends.

 INDZEOSKI, Anne

November 3, 1927 July 16, 2023

It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Anne Indzeoski at RUH on July 16, 2023.

Anne is survived by her daughters Barbara Stadnyk (Irwin), Sharon Scherman (Gerald), Adeline Federko (Donald); grandchildren Chantell Stadnyk, Thea Cassidy (Wade), Cameron Scherman (Emily), Scott Scherman (Michelle), Brett Federko (Meghan), Garett Federko (Robyn), Lauren Kjargaard (Brett), and great-grandchildren Declan, Grayson, Emery, Jack, Jordy, Preston, Audrey, Nathan, Lyla and Owen.

Anne was predeceased by her husband Roman and her brothers Leo (Mary) and Harold (Kay) Matieshen. Being the last surviving member in the family of that generation, she was predeceased by twenty-one other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Anne was the eldest child of James and Tina Matieshen. She grew up on a farm in the Dana area. Shortly after marrying Roman, they moved to Fulda where they owned and operated a general store and bulk fuel service for twenty-four years. In 1973 they moved to Saskatoon, where Anne was employed at Westcott Casuals and later Kresge's Department Store until retirement. She was a long-time member of the UCWL and enjoyed volunteering at the church. She liked gardening and had an incredible green thumb. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and doing needle point, creating many special items for her family.

The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Manor and at St. Volodymyr Villa for the special care they have given Anne over the past few months.

Prayers for Anne will be held at Park Funeral Home, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be held at Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1202-11th Street East, Saskatoon on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Fr. Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. as celebrant. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery, Saskatoon.
