JERRY WALTER HULOWSKI January 22, 1944 ~ June 2, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of Jerry Hulowski announce his sudden passing on June 2, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK at 76 years of age. Jerry was born to Walter and Cassie Hulowski on January 22, 1944 in Prince Albert, SK and grew up on a farm south of Meath Park. He had three siblings Shirley, Joyce and Orest. Jerry lived in the Prince Albert area his entire life. He married Joanna Burtney on July 7, 1973. To this union three children were born Lorne, Ken and Karen. Jerry always provided for his family and showed the value of hard work. He worked as a penitentiary guard for the Saskatchewan Penitentiary for 29 years. Through his service he received the Lieutenant Governor General Exemplary Service Award. Jerry was a kind man with a huge heart, always willing to lend a helping hand. He took great pride and spent countless hours in his garden and maintaining his yard. He was well known for his beautiful array of flowers, huge garden, and manicured yard. He loved to go fishing with his friends and always looked forward to the annual fishing trip with his co-workers from the penitentiary. Snow or shine, you could always find him using his big yellow tractor. He grew to love the sport of hockey watching his grandkids play and was always “so proud.” You would never leave a visit without one of his big hugs. Jerry enjoyed listening to John Gormley or classic country music but always enjoyed a good visit. He was always straightforward and honest and told you how it was. Jerry passed on his wisdom, his work ethic to his kids, giving them the courage to take on any challenges head on and to accomplish each task right the first time. His wood working skills and other talents will be treasured by his family for years to come. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Walter and Cassie Hulowski, his grandparents, and his brother-in-law Morris Kusznir. Jerry will be forever missed by his wife Joanna Hulowski; sons: Lorne Hulowski (Calgary, AB), Ken (Connie) Hulowski and their children Brooke, Braden, Tayah, Jaxson (Prince Albert, SK), daughter, Karen (Thomas) Foster and their son Ezekiel (Calgary, AB); his siblings: Shirley Kusznir (Ladysmith, BC), Joyce (Bob) Jean (Langham, SK) and Orest (Judy) Hulowski (Athabasca, AB); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. |
